[It was a centuries old rivalry. As cliche as the entire werewolves versus vampires thing sounds, it's always been a thing. Marked lands and certain territories. John had heard stories as a pup about the rivaling clan, their clan leader mysterious as always. Disappearing for months on end, and coming out only when he absolutely had to.

As John grew he became more curious, venturing on the lines as young adult, and going as far as crossing them when he was almost mature. He wanted to take risks, as next in line to be the Alpha dog he needed to know the lines well. He wanted to know the territories.

It's the dead of winter now as John is exploring, sniffing out where the lines diverge and the territories divide. He's crossed into their ground with full knowledge that he is there. Usually as long as he isn't causing any trouble they don't bother him, but their seem to be a pair of watchful eyes on him tonight as he heads into a moonlit clearing.]

[Okay now John is just sitting on Dave.]

[John obeys, going over to a dark corner in the room and sitting against the wall. He could probably use a nap himself.]

Go to sleep then.

You're not gonna leave? Fine. Whatever. [You already broke into his place. He doesn't care anymore. He just throws his blankets over himself. Screw you man. Thanks for making him get up in the middle of the day.]

[See basically what he's going to do is he is going to transform and then sleep curled in a ball in the corner. Happy waking up to that.]

[Dave kind of just sleeps curled up. He seems dead when he's sleeping, but that's because his body doesn't move and he doesn't breath. He also keeps his hands pressed against his neck, as though to keep it protected.

He's been sleeping like this since he's become a vampire and never grew out of it.]

[At some points during the day, when John had to get up and stretch or use the restroom. He would look at Dave. He was so peculiar. Did he always sleep like that or was it just because he was around right now?]

[Naw. He's always done it. He also never gets up. He just sleeps the entire time, although he always shifts a bit when John moves.

Being a light sleeper can be a pain in the ass.]

[longwinded]

[John sleeps pretty much their entire day. It's quiet in here, and it's raining outside. Those two factors are likely a good reason to sleep an enture day away.

Though at some point he sat up and started watching Dave sleep.]

[Dave might as well be a corpse right now.

He's dead asleep. Or at least he seems to be. It's kind of hard to tell honestly.]

[Man Dave, you sleep really funny.

John settles closer to the bed. Just to watch him more.]

[Wow, screw you.

Dave seems intent on sleeping in today. But that's probably because John woke him up in the middle of the day.]

[At some point, John woke up and has taken to watching Dave sleep. Since he knows the other is gonna be pretty pissed when he wakes up.]

[When Dave gets up, he surprisingly doesn't seem like he's gonna rip John a new one. Actually, he doesn't seem to be all there as he kind of just drags himself out of bed and towards the kitchen. Bye, John.]

[Does that mean he can curl up on his bed now and not the hard floor? Gonna do that right now.]

[Dave isn't gonna come back. It sounds like he's cooking food instead. There's the nice smell of bacon slowly wafting through the apartment. That, and some slight cursing.

He didn't really bother to actually put clothes on and an apron doesn't really save your arms and hands from hot oil.]

[That catches his attention. Mm, so he's just gonna slink into the kitchen. Peeking around the corner.]


Do you need help?

[Dave lets out a big yawn. You can see those nice little fangs peeking out.]

Naw. [He's still half asleep.]

[longwinded]

[He's sitting on the floor next to Dave, just hanging around here. He really wants some bacon. Please please please.]

[rememberstime]

Ugh. You don't even live here, you little shit. [He holds out one of the bacon slices to John regardless.] Fine, whatever.

[longwinded]

[John takes it and starts to munch on it. Hell yes. Hell fucking yes. Dave didn't hate him after all. But you know what they say Dave, feed the animal and he'll keep coming back.]
