Hey John! In the light of some really unsettling news, I realized we hadn't talked in a while. Sorry about that. I get buried deep in making things and lose track of the time.

Anyway, you need a new hammer? I can fix one up for you before these two armies hit us like a swarm of harpies.

I've been pretty busy. The storm spirits showing up threw a wrench in everything. ...there's nothing here that I can find to turn them to monster dust. If they hit again, it will be the same story all over again.

Yeah and pulling things from our worlds that are the least helpful. A bunch of wind bags, gee thanks! Exactly what I needed, how could you have ever guessed! Pegasi would have been better.

Less macho, but we could have trained them for riding. [Even wind spirits of the South wind would have been better.]

Who says war hammers can't look ridiculous? I'm pretty sure you can design it to look like you're anviling someone in the face.
