[It was a centuries old rivalry. As cliche as the entire werewolves versus vampires thing sounds, it's always been a thing. Marked lands and certain territories. John had heard stories as a pup about the rivaling clan, their clan leader mysterious as always. Disappearing for months on end, and coming out only when he absolutely had to.

As John grew he became more curious, venturing on the lines as young adult, and going as far as crossing them when he was almost mature. He wanted to take risks, as next in line to be the Alpha dog he needed to know the lines well. He wanted to know the territories.

It's the dead of winter now as John is exploring, sniffing out where the lines diverge and the territories divide. He's crossed into their ground with full knowledge that he is there. Usually as long as he isn't causing any trouble they don't bother him, but their seem to be a pair of watchful eyes on him tonight as he heads into a moonlit clearing.]

[Dave immediately lets go and moves away from John.]

You bite my throat again without my permission and you'll wish I put you out of your misery faster. [His throat was already healing pretty fast. It was still bleeding, but the wound was much smaller than it was before.]

[He's suddenly got John by the scruff of his shirt.] You don't get it do you? Vampires do this shit to each other as a form of ridicule. You're god damn lucky I didn't just up and kill you. If anyone else had tried that on me, I'd be ripping their organs out and leaving them to burn in the sun.

The last thing I need is for some of the younger members to think they can one up me. I don't need them dying from stupidity because they saw a dumb werewolf fuck around.

[John is equal parts terrified and completely turned on. Holy shit. Dave was pretty fucking mad at this point. He fucked up, he fucked up good. John only understands things like this if werewolves do them. Being held down by another werewolf is humiliating, so he guesses humiliation for a vampire would be a bite at the neck.

[Dave shoves at him and lets go.]

I like to exist in a relatively boring night to night existence. Not really interested in dealing with whatever uproar ripping your throat out might bring. [But that isn't saying he won't if he has to.]

You don't sound like you have much fun with your life. I'm only improving your night to night existence. [He's also still kind of turned on. Shit. Dave being rough with him like that, he liked it. He is fucked up, really really fucked up.]

I'm a couple hundred years old. There isn't a lot of things that excite me nowadays. And if you mean annoying the fuck out of me, I guess you can call that improving. Or maybe you can call it being a nosy little shithead. [He runs a few fingers over his healing wound.]

I don't. I had plenty of it growing up. I'm old as dirt and I really don't care what you like. What I do know is that you really need to mind your business. I'm not bored. It might come to you as a surprise, but I enjoy dull as dirt pastimes.

[Dave is definitely moving to leave again. He's gonna go home and probably sleep. Sleep is fucking awesome.]

[Oh he will. He will also watch which direction Dave goes so he can silently you know, stalk him or something. He wasn't done tonight.]

[John got a good whiff of him when you bit him anyways. Tracking Dave down will probably be pretty easy.

But there he goes. Probably to shower than pass out.]

[It doesn't take him long to sniff out where Dave went. Soon enough he's at an apartment complex, perched where he had a good view into the room dave's scent came from the strongest.]

[All of Dave's windows are shut. It makes sense since Dave is a vampire. Are you going to venture in, John? That's breaking and entering, John. John. Please.]

[Well. The windows are shut, but are they locked? John tests this theory. He is going to tally break and enter right now.]

[They're definitely locked, but that's probably not going to stop John, is it?]

[Goddammit, okay gonna strategically break in now. Which may or may not include him basically breaking the fucking window. Shit fuck damn did Dave hear that..........]

[Lady luck is on John's side. Kind of. There's stirring and grumbling, but Dave seems to not have made no effort to investigate the noise. But it's the middle of the day, and he doesn't want to deal with things during this time. Maybe when it's cooled down some and the sun isn't quite a bitch.]

[He will thank the appropriate gods later. Quietly, he drops into the room and promptly closes the blinds. He really can't have Dave mad at him for breaking in and breaking the window to break in.

SIGH.]

[Dave is going to kill him when he finds out John broke his fucking window.

Dave's place is pretty simple and bare. It's furnished, but it looks minimally so. Just enough to live, most likely. Dave wasn't the type to need a lot to get around though.

He doesn't even have a proper bed, really. A mattress tossed into the corner of his room. He's currently buried under his sheets.]

[Dave, please don't kill him for breaking the window. John just wanted in there was no harm in a little breaking and entering. John takes note of what a simple life Dave lives. No wonder he was so damn boring.

Ok.....now what does he do now that he's here....]

[There's all kinds of wrong with breaking and entering. Also, fuck you John. He's a fucking vampire. There's only so much one can do in the dead of night.

Should have probably thought about that before you broke his window.]

[There doesn't have to be any formalities here, they could address right and wrong later. There isn't much to do in the head of night besides go to night clubs and prey on people, right? Something like that.

John steps over to the mattress. Inspecting Dave.]

[Dave doesn't even do that much. He's not fond of night clubs or the environment. He probably spends a lot of time in his apartment when he isn't prowling about to make sure his clan aren't being shitheads.
