 Sorry Texas, John is here to fuck up your day. More like he's using his wind powers to fuck up your day. Either way, to his own amusement he is watching rain pour and  causing winds to blow at somewhat dangerous speeds. It was cool of the rain god to help a drought, but it was no fun if there wasn't a little chaos to follow. He cracks a laugh when a lady completely loses her umbrella, no more nice hair, and hope she had some waterproof mascara. Because it was pouring.

He won't take any notice to anyone else around him, he's having far too much fun giving hell to the place Dave is usually cast out to when he needs a little time out. Which is literally really funny to him, no matter how many times John abuses his powers, they have only cast him out a couple of times. In a state far away from the one Dave is placed. They never really got along completely in the first place, so John messing with something that Dave might hold dear to him is literally no surprise, hell, John isn't even going to be phased if Dave socks him in the face for even being this terrible to those poor mortals.

"Do you need help learning that piece," Dave finally speaks up. He's still by the door though. He hadn't moved an inch since stepping in. He wanted to give John space, but he doesn't think it would be that bad if he maybe offered to help? He doesn't like John, but something like this, he was willing to ignore that bit of information.

"Learning it is good, but you're too stiff. It's okay to take your time."

John seems a little startled at first, deer in the headlights look that Dave even thought about helping. When did he even get there? But perhaps taking a little advice from someone who actually knows the piece wouldn't be so bad? He knows he's stiff. It's never conducive to learning.

"I haven't actually played in a long time," John pauses to jut scoot over on the bench. There was enough room for the both of them. "Sure, I could use some help."

Dave takes a seat next to him, running his fingers over the keys gently. "You shouldn't worry about messing up then. Mess ups happen and that's how you learn." He plays a few keys, warming up. "And it would do you no good if you get frustrated. You want to enjoy this."

John knows how to play, and he knows how it feels to be completely submersed in the music. It is just that he gets frustrated more than he needs to. Messing up in front of other gods is also kind of embarrassing.

"I do enjoy it, I just hate messing up."

He shrugs and plays his end of the keys, warming up his fingers again.

"Everyone does." Dave plays a few more keys before slowly transitioning into the song itself. He doesn't have to look at the sheet music, his eyes shut. He knows every song ever made off the top of his head. Every musician flows through him.

Dave always got super engrossed in his music playing. Just the same as when he was dancing.

John puts his hands in his lap and watches Dave, he is powered by the musicians of the mortal world no doubt. That was one of the biggest passions of their home, the fine arts. Music, dancing, drawing. It was all something that John imagined Dave held a strong passion for and for a moment he completely loses the reason as to why he fights with Dave all the time.

Why are they even at odds?

But it also comes with a heart filled with jealousy, something he never really got rid of when he looked at Dave. He doesn't understand how to be close with mortals, or to use them for a completely understandable benefit such as music. He only knows tricks, and natural disasters.

Dave doesn't even realize that John is jealous. He really should assume there's some petty feelings involved (gods are pretty petty) but doesn't.

He continues to play a little longer before finally finishing, letting his fingers linger on the piano keys. "Might have to cut this short. I just remembered I was requested to dance tonight."

John isn't so sure he really knew he was jealous until this very moment either. His breath was being held through that entire song, and John didn't even know he was holding it. Why can't Dave realize that he's just jealous and none of this would be happening if he wasn't so fucking perfect.

"Oh, yeah. We have a ceremony tonight." He finally breathes. He doesn't usually attend ceremonies if he doesn't have to and yet the thought of seeing Dave dance was a really nice idea to entertain. He's seen it before and just never really payed attention.

Dave just easily slides off the bench and starts heading to the door. "You can keep those for however long you need to by the way. I know the song by heart." Just like all the other songs. "A few sheets left on my bed isn't gonna keep me up at night. Trust me."

And then he's gone. Probably to go prepare.

John just rests his head on the keys for a long while before picking his hands up and beginning to play again. It is most definitely jealousy that is holding him from having some sort of friendship with Dave. This is something he can't seem to help. He wants it gone. But the thought of just making Dave's life miserable is just too pleasing to him. It has been something he's done for the last couple of years.

But John leaves the piano room and takes the sheets with him. He prepares himself for the ceremony, wearing his finer clothing and accessories. When he gets there he gets himself a seat where he can see the dancers up close.

Dave is wearing his best robes and he's all dolled up in gold. Everytime he steps, the coins on his slash bang together along with all his jewelry. If there's ever a time where everyone seems to have a deep want for Dave, it's when he's dancing. Robes that flow and just barely hide perfect skin underneath.

A man made of passion was also a temptress in such a state.

Everyone goes completely quiet as the music starts playing and all the dancers start dancing.

John is keeping a watchful eye on Dave. The way that the coins jingle, the shift of the fabric against his perfect skin. It is a side of Dave he never really cared to pay attention to. He swallows a couple of times, and also follows along in the necessary steps for this ceremony.

But it is mostly him watching Dave.

It was weird that he could really feel the passion radiating off of Dave, and this is twice in a day. He almost wonders if Dave has accidentally seduced him. He has never been more attracted to him. He is supposed to hate this man.

After the dancing ends, most of everyone end up talking amongst each other. Talking and eating.

Dave never really stuck to talk around. Grabbing a bowl of fruit, he slinks out of the main hall, aiming to just head back to his room to enjoy his fruit. He was never much for talking. Especially with the other gods. He's done what he was asked to do. They have no reason to stall him.

There is one more god who slinks out of attending the after ceremony activities. Yup, that god would be John, and he has a mission right now. He isn't sure if he classifies this as anger, more jealousy, or being really high strung sexually. Hell, it might be a combination of all three.

Nevertheless, even if he doesn't understand it, he steps into Dave's room and shuts the door. Fully expecting questions as to why he followed.

Dave places the bowl on one of the counters, eyebrow raised.

He usually doesn't care about people coming in here, but John not enjoying the festivities and following him? That's kind of weird. "It ain't exactly a party in here. Why aren't you with the others?"

[longwinded]

"Because." He steps forward, making his way right into Dave's personal space. He doesn't really give Dave much of a choice as to whether he wants him there or not. "I am so tired of you being so perfect. I hate you for being perfect. I'm jealous of you." He looks angry, but he doesn't feel angry. His chest feels tight right now and he can't explain why.

Nope. Fuck it. He isn't giving Dave any time to figure it out, and he isn't giving himself any time to figure it out either. He pulls Dave forward and smashes their lips together, it has been far too fucking long since he's had this.

Jealous of him? He would have ever expected those words coming from John. He isn't even sure why John is jealous. Or how he's perfect (he's pretty sure he isn't).

He doesn't really have much time to think before John is kissing him. Well. Alright? Tell a guy you're jealous of him then start kissing him. He supposes he's experienced weirder things. And for what it's worth. Dave immediately kisses back, pressing up against John until he's pretty much pushing John back towards his bed.

Dave just doesn't understand. He will never understand why John is so jealous. An explanation would do them both no good, because John simply cannot epxlain the reason for his jealousy.

John didn't expect to actually receive kisses back, he hadn't expected Dave to react to the kiss like this. But he won't complain. He regains his footing after stumbling once on his trip backwards, as soon as the back of his calves touch the bed he pulls Dave on top of him.

Dave immediately moves to straddle John. His lips haven't left John's at all. John is silly for not expecting this. Dave was the god of passion. If there was anything Dave will earnestly react to, it's this.

Although, he doesn't seem to even ask how far John even wanted to go. His fingers are already trailing underneath John's clothes.

John is exploring whatever he can with his hands, making sure his lips never leave Dave's. His skin was soft and the way they moved their lips was already a sin in itself.

Not that John minded that he didn't ask. It was clear that John wanted to go as far as Dave was willing to go. He has never needed something like this more than he does right now.

This is probably gonna be the best sex you've ever had, John. Dave was like a fire. He let off so much heat, but it didn't burn. He grinds his hips against John.

Dave bites at John's bottom lip, his voice low when he speaks up. "I guess it was only a matter of time. I've seen you fuck enough people after all."

He let out a breathy but very pleased moan. He has never experienced someone grinding their hips like this. Holy shit. This is already turning out better than any other sex he's ever had. They have barely started.

He lets out a breath, he guesses the question on how Dave knew he was a fan of lip biting was answered. "I would call that really fucking weird if you weren't the god of passion."

"Never really seen anyone have sex besides some of the other gods." He takes a sharp breath, fuuuuuck. "We really are a completely indecent species." It is true, sometimes gods never make it behind closed doors. John wasn't sure he wanted anyone to see this. "But, if that is what gets you off." He shifts so it's easier to start taking his clothes off, his hands are immediately reaching for Dave's robes.

How is he so scantily clad right now. How?

"Don't call it indecent. There's nothing indecent about expressing yourself through carnal pleasure." While John might find it indecent, Dave finds it gorgeous. Being stuck in the throes of passion. Making love. It's beautiful to him at the very least. "A lot of things do." Dave shifts so he can start sucking at John's collarbone.
