[It was a centuries old rivalry. As cliche as the entire werewolves versus vampires thing sounds, it's always been a thing. Marked lands and certain territories. John had heard stories as a pup about the rivaling clan, their clan leader mysterious as always. Disappearing for months on end, and coming out only when he absolutely had to.

As John grew he became more curious, venturing on the lines as young adult, and going as far as crossing them when he was almost mature. He wanted to take risks, as next in line to be the Alpha dog he needed to know the lines well. He wanted to know the territories.

It's the dead of winter now as John is exploring, sniffing out where the lines diverge and the territories divide. He's crossed into their ground with full knowledge that he is there. Usually as long as he isn't causing any trouble they don't bother him, but their seem to be a pair of watchful eyes on him tonight as he heads into a moonlit clearing.]

[He's real tired of your shit. John's body weight and strength is far superior than his. It isn't long before he has Dave on the ground, snarling and growling at John. Dave was just much too light and didn't have the strength to overcome John head to head like this. Dave's usually calm demeanor was replaced with something much more vicious, a stark contrast to how he usually is.]

[He locks his legs around Dave's middle, and locks his hands around Dave's wrists. He was going to trap him like this, smarter than last time for sure. It was fun, seeing the other struggle beneath him like this.]

[Dave tries to buck John off him, before going to completely limp. Jesus Christ, why does this keep happening?]

[Nope. He steadies his hips, pressing down to lock Dave into place. Like he did the first time. It keeps happening because John is a little shit.]

Probably. [John leans his head down, sinking his teeth into Dave's neck.]

[Dave starts thrashing again letting out a howl as John sinks his teeth into his neck.] You little fucking shit, I'll kill you. [He most definitely does not like you biting into his throat. That's what vampires do to their prey. Not vice versa.]

[Please. John knows Dave isn't as strong physically if caught.] An empty threat, at best. [He sinks his teeth in again, toying with the skin.]

[There's the sound of flesh ripping and John can probably smell the strong stench of blood. More importantly, he can feel those sharp fangs against his throat. It's a silent threat. If John doesn't get off, he'll rip his throat out. His fangs are just barely grazing John's skin.] Get off. [There's no warm breath against John's neck. Dave is dead.]

What are you gonna do, bite me? Hah. Go ahead.

[Fuck you Dave, he isn't moving because you don't scare him at all. I mean the whole losing a chunk of your throat is pretty horrifying but...]

I'll rip your throat out with my teeth. [John. This is definitely a guy you don't want to call him on his threats. This is definitely someone who'll actually do it.

Especially because he's sunk his teeth just ever so slightly into John's throat.]

[John grunts a little. But he has to assert his dominance here. It wasn't pride. He just really wanted Dave. Perhaps going for the throat wasn't his best idea.]

[Dave sinks his teeth lower, enough for it to hurt, but not moving after that. Prying Dave off at this point would cause more harm to John. He'd have to behead Dave or show signs of letting up.

Biting Dave was the dumbest fucking idea, John.]

[John lets up a little on the pressure. But not enough to let go. That hurts, Dave. But John is laughing. Laughing because he's an idiot.]

[Dave lightens up himself, but he isn't moving his head until he knows John is gonna get off him. He doesn't see what's so funny, John.]

[He's laughing because of this shitty situation he's in. It's hilarious how dim he can really be sometimes. He would have to let go for Dave to let go and he didn't want to let go.

[John is really wearing Dave's patience. If John doesn't decide to let up soon, Dave was just gonna do what he threatened to do. He's pretty sure John doesn't have the healing capabilities that Dave does.]

[Dammit. He can't risk Dave ripping at his throat. He's already going to have a hell of a time explaining to his Dad what the bitemarks are if he can't hide them.

John lets up now, making escape feasible.]

[Dave immediately lets go and moves away from John.]

You bite my throat again without my permission and you'll wish I put you out of your misery faster. [His throat was already healing pretty fast. It was still bleeding, but the wound was much smaller than it was before.]

[He rubs at his neck, ow.]

What, can't take a little bit of what you dish out yourself? [John is eyerolling to be honest.]

[He's suddenly got John by the scruff of his shirt.] You don't get it do you? Vampires do this shit to each other as a form of ridicule. You're god damn lucky I didn't just up and kill you. If anyone else had tried that on me, I'd be ripping their organs out and leaving them to burn in the sun.

The last thing I need is for some of the younger members to think they can one up me. I don't need them dying from stupidity because they saw a dumb werewolf fuck around.

[John is equal parts terrified and completely turned on. Holy shit. Dave was pretty fucking mad at this point. He fucked up, he fucked up good. John only understands things like this if werewolves do them. Being held down by another werewolf is humiliating, so he guesses humiliation for a vampire would be a bite at the neck.

But he's curious.]

Why didn't you kill me then? [Just a thought...]

[Dave shoves at him and lets go.]

You're a dumb werewolf who probably does stupid shit without thinking. Killing you would probably get me into some shit I don't want to deal with.

I like to exist in a relatively boring night to night existence. Not really interested in dealing with whatever uproar ripping your throat out might bring. [But that isn't saying he won't if he has to.]

You don't sound like you have much fun with your life. I'm only improving your night to night existence. [He's also still kind of turned on. Shit. Dave being rough with him like that, he liked it. He is fucked up, really really fucked up.]

I'm a couple hundred years old. There isn't a lot of things that excite me nowadays. And if you mean annoying the fuck out of me, I guess you can call that improving. Or maybe you can call it being a nosy little shithead. [He runs a few fingers over his healing wound.]

I don't. I had plenty of it growing up. I'm old as dirt and I really don't care what you like. What I do know is that you really need to mind your business. I'm not bored. It might come to you as a surprise, but I enjoy dull as dirt pastimes.
