[John met Dave at a fashion shoot two years ago. Kanaya had been holding a fashion show and Dave had agreed to be one of the models in it, this is when John was trying to dabble in photography as the person behind the camera. He found he really had no talent for it at all, instead he graduated with a degree photo processing. So Kanaya had kept him on board after they found a new photographer.

That's when John officially met Dave. Dave was a special kind of guy. No college degree, just a knack for what he loved to do. John had seen some of Dave's work through some hipster tumblr blog. The photos had been obviously raw, no processing- but he had to admit Dave has this special ability to take the PERFECT shot. It makes him jealous that he decided to not pursue the career behind the camera.

But as talented as Dave may be, he's also like any other person John works with. He's kind of picky when it comes to how his photos are processed and while John sometimes gets some of the shots processed how Dave wants them. He doesn't always get it right the first time. Which makes Dave complain and become high maintenance which in return causes John to complain about Dave to Rose. Today he decides to bring three different options. The model was Rose, an absolutely beautiful girl who she knew through Kanaya. Who better to model your clothing line than your girlfriend, right?]

Hey, Dave.

[He walks into the studio with three of her prints, all processed differently. It looks like John has been behind the computer for quite some time being as careful as he could to process them the three different ways he knows Dave likes. He never thought of even trying anything new.

When he approaches Dave he holds them out.] I finished three separate prints, and one of them has to go to Kanaya by tomorrow evening. Which one do you like best?

[He looks back at the pictures again. Still vaguely wondering why the clothing and shoes and was that an eye? Looked so familiar. Nah nope nada, John is going to ignore that thought.] You're right, I guess. I just need to be more confident. I suppose.

[Even if it meant making his tight schedule even tighter.] This is a man eat man world, John. Gotta take it or pack your bags.

Come on. I need to get wasted because I know I'm not going to enjoy tomorrow.

[He snickers.] Let's be honest, I practically won the spot for your best processor.

[And so John exits the room and heads back to the kitchen where the alcoholic apple cider awaits them. He's sure if they run out of that Dave has something too.]

We're all expendable to some extent. [Dave is like the hugest pessimist.] It's better not to get too attached because you don't know if you'll get the boot or if they will.

That doesn't mean there isn't someone who could surpass you or you'll find someone who'll catch your eye.

[Dave just follows. Something about his words seemed off. Like for a moment, he wasn't referring to their job so much.] What movies did you bring this time.

[longwinded]

[Unfortunately John is already too attached. He loves his job, and the people he works with. He does slightly catch onto that last part. He tries to not look intrigued.]

Mega Piranha, Blind Fury, Con Air, and Snakes on a Train. We're going to need to get wasted by the time we watch Blind Fury.

[Dave isn't explaining himself.]

Oh my god. Why do you own all these crappy movies. Come on.

I don't know. I find them in bargain bins and I just have to buy them. Admittedly Con Air isn't so bad.

[So they pour the drinks and get a movie watching. They made up some bullshit drinking game over the horrible movies which John doesn't care to remember because it got both he and Dave wasted as fuck by the end of the second movie.

They passed out on the couch near the end of Con Air after Dave had a laughing fit, poor Snakes on a Train never did get watched. This was a typical night of John came over to Dave's, A+ kind of night.

But then it was morning and wow they both had to get up some time. Rose and Kanaya were expecting both of their asses at the studio in like an hour. As hung over as they may be.]

[There's a lot of stuff being knocked over in the morning as Dave is in a rush to get ready to head out. He is definitely not fit to be a model, but that messy bed hair and the rest of Dave is heading out the door in a rush.] Lock up, loser.

[He has no idea that John and him are headed for the same destination, but Dave is already gone out.]

[Shit shit shit shit shit shit. They are going to be so late and through the drunken haze John forgot to tell Dave they were headed for the same place oh my fucking god.

So yeah John locks up the house and literally jumps into his car and speeds down the road. What there were no cops. While Dave was on time, John was nearly 5 minutes late.]

[When John gets there, Dave is nowhere in sight and Rose and Kanaya are just conversing with the photographers and making sure the set isn't having any issues. Just basics. Dave was the only model, so they were just waiting for him to get ready.

Although, the looks on their faces...they looked pretty smug.]

[longwinded]

[John is half hungover and still a little on edge from morning traffic. But he is here, and he's wondering why he's here. He's pretty sure it's just to run the lighting and watch the shots while the photographers take them. He does this pretty often for Dave.

That doesn't explain why Kanaya and Rose are so smug however, does he even dare ask? And where in the world did Dave disappear off to. He was pretty sure Dave said he was coming here in the morning.]

[The two stop talking abruptly as they glance to wear the changing room was situated and Rose can't help but chuckle lightly.

Dave is just stepping out. It's obvious that the hair stylist actually chopped off a bunch of Dave's hair (he needed a hair cut anyways). And...wow Dave cleaned up really fucking well. He was modeling for Kanaya's upcoming men's winter suit line. He had a crisp, white one on with a simple red scarf. He had thin framed glasses on and the most brilliant red eyes.] There's a different between asking me to get ready and shoving me down and let your stylists have their way with me.

[longwinded]

[John is setting up the computer equipment as he takes his chance to look over. He nearly drops the 25 foot cord in his hand. Holy Christ Batman, Dave never cleaned up for anything. No to mention he really rocked short hair like whoa.

Those were some pretty spectacular contacts too. They almost looked natural on Dave. Since you know, John believes Dave's eyes are green and everything. John decides against saying anything and going back to setting up equipment- because wow Dave was really distracting as fuck.]

[Rose just chuckles, while Dave complains.] And if I needed a haircut, I can just get one myself. Why couldn't you cast me as the ugly non fashionable twat or something. [Obviously, with how nice Dave looked cleaned up, that would be a crime.

Grumbling, he follows Kanaya to discuss the shoot though, but Rose wanders towards John. Obviously she wants John's opinion on the matter.]

[John is clicking things into his computer, then setting more cords out. John knows what he is doing here. He has set up for many a shoot. The next thing that needed to go out was the soft boxes, he thinks.

He sees Rose heading towards him. The most quality first thing to fly out of his mouth:]

[The best part is that Rose holds out an envelope to John. If he looks into it, there's even more photos of Dave from previous shoots and modelling gigs he was involved. He's even done the catwalk.]

What? You didn't think he wasn't hot dressed like a man off the street? I thought he had a semi rugged charm to his ripped jeans and cruddy hoodies.

If you're familiar with the model that just went by Strider, that was him. Before he got better jobs, he did a lot of modelling to really get into the industry. It helped him a lot with knowing how to pose his models and what not to do.

Unfortunately, I didn't think to bring them, but next time I could bring his underwear modeling photos. [Rose, you terrible woman, you.]

Don't get me wrong Rose. I was falling on my face last night as we were getting hammered. He was hot then, he's hot now.

[He flips through the photos. Oh lord. John will not deny that he has always found Dave attractive. He's also hung over and hasn't had anything help that.]

Yeah, I'm familiar with the model name. Back in the day when I was taking classes to be a photographer we went and photographed one of the runway shows he was in. Not like I'll ever tell him the best picture I ever took was of him.

After that I processed a lot of his photos, and then ended up working for him. Sweet story, huh?

[He nearly chokes on nothing there.] Rose, you know he probably wouldn't want me to see him in his underwear. But I could take a quick look and pretend I never saw them....

[She starts rummaging through her purse.] We know that isn't the same as going out and getting drinks. John, do you plan on being a bachelor for the rest of your life? I think you almost contend against me for seeing every side of Dave has to offer.

You're not allowed to photograph the models during classes, so I doubt that there would be any. If there were, that would be highly illegal for a lot of reasons.

That's because he hates the cold. For some reason, he never grew out of his thin skin for winter.

I need to go help Kanaya now. Here. [Rose totally just handed you a bottle of advil. Along...with a condom and lube.]

We're only together a lot because he shows me his freelance photography like every other weekend or when he gets something new. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. God, you're right. [Guess who's behind you, all dressed up and looking pretty swag.] And I need you to get my phone from the dressing room, if you could. We're gonna start, but I'd like to have that.

[There's a pause and a smirk.] I guess you'd look up these since there's no nude photos of me around, but seriously. Get my shit from the dressing room and you can jack off to me later.

[John turned around and his heart skipped a beat. How in the holy hell did Dave get behind him so fucking fast. What the fucking fuck. He is also beet red and closing out that window like right the fuck now.]

I wasn't going to jack off, I was just curious was all. [He is just gonna scurry way the fuck off now and go get what Dave needed. He goes into the empty dressing room and grabs Dave's phone and wallet- something else catches his eye. A contact case with...green contacts in them.

There is no way those are Dave's. But. Hm. John screws the caps on them and takes them anyways.]

Hey Dave? [Baaaaaaack to the shoot room where he left Dave.]
