[It was a centuries old rivalry. As cliche as the entire werewolves versus vampires thing sounds, it's always been a thing. Marked lands and certain territories. John had heard stories as a pup about the rivaling clan, their clan leader mysterious as always. Disappearing for months on end, and coming out only when he absolutely had to.

As John grew he became more curious, venturing on the lines as young adult, and going as far as crossing them when he was almost mature. He wanted to take risks, as next in line to be the Alpha dog he needed to know the lines well. He wanted to know the territories.

It's the dead of winter now as John is exploring, sniffing out where the lines diverge and the territories divide. He's crossed into their ground with full knowledge that he is there. Usually as long as he isn't causing any trouble they don't bother him, but their seem to be a pair of watchful eyes on him tonight as he heads into a moonlit clearing.]

I have the feeling you don't quite understand, do you? It isn't a matter of getting what I want or not. You're mine whether you realize it or not. Werewolves become attached to something- we're loyal creatures.

[Not that he was saying he would be loyal to Dave in that sense.] Loyal to my feelings anyhow. [John leans down again, his teeth aren't bared but the tip of his nose lightly grazes Dave's neck, he was catching his scent. Not blood this time. purely what Dave smelled like. Dave smells like death, it's musty and kind of disgusting. But unique. Charming.]

[Dave freezes up slightly and then shoves John's face away from his neck. It was sensitive and he didn't like anyone's face near it. It might be partially because he knows it's sensitive and an unconscious dislike of feeling like prey by having a mouth near it. He was the one that bites necks.] This isn't going to fly at all.

[longwinded]

I didn't say you were an item, merely that you were mine. Someone I feel some sort of strange bond with.

[Oh? Dave flinched at that? Hmm. Against his better judgement he shoves his face back there. Getting just close enough his lips would brush.] Why not?

[rememberstime]

I'm still not yours. [He doesn't like the sounds of that at all. It still sounds like ownership against his will.

Dave actually lets out a rather vicious snarl and shoves John's face away. Maybe even scratching it a little.] Haven't I made myself clear that I have no interest?

[longwinded]

Not really.

[John isn't fooled by that snarl. It's a weakness. Dave doesn't like people near his neck because it was a weakness. It all made sense now. John shifts to hold one of Dave's hands back while he makes another go for his neck.

This time with the tip of his tongue. How's that Dave?]

[rememberstime]

[It's a weakness and it definitely riles Dave up. Although it could be in a much more angry way than weak and desperate.

Dave aims a punch at John's face with his other hand.] Get the fuck off me.

[longwinded]

[The punch connects but it doesn't seem to deflect John. He pops his jaw and continues letting his tongue trace over Dave's neck. It was liberating in a sense, having that feeling that he was dominating Dave.

There were no answers to the complaints though, it seems John has shut out listening to the other.]

[John needs to stop. John really needs to fucking stop. Dave lets out a shudder before he realizes it. Fuck. Fuck this kid. He aims another punch, but this time at one of John's eyes. Can't really ignore a punch in the eye, right.] Get off.

[longwinded]

[He turns his head at the punch that time. He had just really gotten into exploring the other's skin- he thought Dave had calmed down about it too. His body reacted!

But what the fuck man, in the eye???] Stop freaking out. [He's careful about going back this time, this time giving Dave one good lap on his throat before pulling away.] Something the matter?

You're on top of me despite my protests. You're ignoring everything I've been saying and now you're getting your spit all over my neck. You seriously asking me if something is the matter?

[John, don't ask dumb questions.] I said get off. I'm not playing along with this just because you want things to go your way.

[longwinded]

Someone is grumpy. [He wants to laugh. Dave has been grumpy nearly every time he's run into him. It''s almost funny. He shouldn't be so grumpy.]

Your body told me differently. [Remember that shudder?]

[rememberstime]

You tackled me. [Most people don't find that endearing. You also got into a fight with him the other two times. There isn't much to be happy about. He was actually pretty happy up until you started bothering him.]

I said stop. My body doesn't speak for me. That's why I have a mouth and voice for.

[longwinded]

I did. [He finds it endearing to overpower someone, that's about it. he isn't sure about his emotional attachment to Dave. He just thinks that he is probably the most fun.]

[John loosens his grip a little, he didn't really take into consideration what Dave might have wanted, which was to be let go. He just did this because he wanted to.

He isn't sure what to say, he's kind of bewildered right now.]

[He's dealing with an idiot. He's dealing with a fucking idiot who only thinks about what he wants and nothing else. Oh my god, this has got to be the most suffering thing he's dealt with. That's saying something with how fucking old he is.]

You gonna get off? [He is an antisocial ass. Let him continue to be so.] If you haven't realized, I don't care much for company. I'm quite fine on my own.

[longwinded]

[Maybe he should try a different approach next time. He offended Dave this time? Yeah he did. He's still maturing in that sense. Dammit. But he doesn't really feel remorse for what he's done.]

Don't wanna leave. [He would follow you Dave.]

[rememberstime]

[Your face offends him, John. Or he's just really grumpy whenever he sees John now. Maybe John should stop pissing him off though.]

You are literally five.

[longwinded]

Whatever.

[This got boring, so fine whatever. He'll move and sit next to Dave.] You're old and grumpy.

[Dave doesn't get up from his spot, just lying there.]

You get old and grumpy when you've survived this long. [He specifically doesn't say lived. He hasn't been alive in a long time. He can't really call this existence a life either. Not anymore at least.]

[longwinded]

[John crosses his legs. They could just sit here for a while until Dave stopped being offended.]

You can be old, but you know, you can drop the attitude. Sure I don't have very good manners. Isn't a reason to be grumpy.

The first time you wanted to fight me. The second time you rushed me and broke a few of my ribs. Now you've tackled me to the ground again and wouldn't let up.

I think I'm a bit justified in not being too fond of you right now. [Dave just can't stop being sassy either.]

The first time I was being stupid, the second time I was angry, this time it was mainly out of curiosity.

No reason to dislike me. [SHRUG SHRUG.]

You really just don't want me to hate you.

[He raises an eyebrow.] It doesn't change the fact that in three meetings, you've done nothing to leave a very good impression.

[longwinded]

Hate is a strong term, you know. [His father told him that. He also told him that no matter what they had in place with the vampires, you never outright hate them.]

Ehhh, I'm not so great at those.

[He finally gets to his feet. Dawn will be coming soon. He has to go soon.] Aren't there other people you rather be bothering though? Someone who does want a wolf going through puberty following them around?

[No he'll be sad if you leave him. But he understands. Dawn and vampires. Not so good.]

Not really. I'm the son of the leader, everyone would rather take me down. So I kind of go off on my own.
